The Company

LAI Group is one of Australia’s largest switchboards and switchrooms manufacturers. With over 115 years of combined experience, we are a leader in the design and manufacture of custom switchboards and switchrooms in Australia. 

As a result of continuous national growth, LAI Group is seeking multiple qualified Electricians to join our manufacturing team in Adelaide (Ferryden Park). Opportunities are available across several departments, including Skids, Switchrooms, and Switchboards. Schedule

Full-time and Casual positions available

A 38-hour week (Monday – Friday + reasonable overtime).

Wage (Negotiable - Experience, knowledge, and ability will be taken into consideration).

The Position

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working on large-scale industrial projects in a workshop build environment.

You'll be involved in every stage of the process, from reading detailed electrical drawings to wiring and installing switchgear, lighting and control systems, ensuring each project is built to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of system components, framework, and foundations

  • Component in conducting first and second fix electrical with little to no supervision

  • Cable containment installation (i.e., tray and basket)

  • Electrical testing

  • Competent in installing switchgear

  • Ensuring all work complies with safety and electrical standards

  • The ability to analyse the schematic diagrams

The Candidate

  • Electrical Trade Qualifications

  • Current CPR and LV Rescue certificate

  • Knowledge of electrical standards

  • Experience with first and second fix electrical

  • The ability to work well within a team-based environment

Desired Competencies

  • Commitment to safe work practices

  • Good attention to detail

  • Problem solving skills

  • Experience with using general hand tools
