Restoration Project Manager

Technical oversight role – restoration industry

Complete Water Damage Services is a growing restoration company known for delivering high-quality work and exceptional service.

As our workload continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Restoration Project Manager to help oversee restoration projects and support our field technicians.

This role is primarily office-based and focuses on reviewing jobs, guiding technicians, and ensuring restoration work follows the correct methodology and recognised industry standards.

You will play an important role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high technical standard.


The Role

The Restoration Project Manager provides technical oversight for restoration projects from dispatch through to completion.

Working closely with our coordinators and field technicians, you will review jobs, provide technical guidance, and ensure restoration work is carried out correctly and in accordance with recognised industry standards.

This role is well suited to someone with restoration experience who enjoys technical problem solving, decision-making, and supporting field teams, rather than being on the tools every day.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Job Review

  • Review jobs before dispatch

  • Determine the appropriate restoration methodology

  • Confirm the correct technicians and equipment are deployed

Technical Support for Field Teams

  • Provide guidance to technicians when technical questions arise

  • Assist with unexpected site conditions or scope changes

  • Help determine drying strategies and equipment requirements

Project Oversight

  • Review technician readings, photos, and job documentation

  • Confirm restoration work is progressing correctly

  • Identify when additional work or project stages are required

Reporting and Scope Approval

  • Review reports and scope of works before they are sent to clients or insurers

  • Ensure recommendations and conclusions are technically sound

  • Confirm when restoration work or project phases are complete


About You

You are someone who:

  • Has experience in the restoration industry (water damage, mould, fire, or similar)

  • Understands restoration methodology and equipment

  • Is confident making technical decisions

  • Communicates clearly with technicians and office staff

  • Is organised, methodical, and detail-focused

  • Enjoys solving technical problems and guiding others


Experience and Knowledge

Required

  • Restoration industry experience

  • Strong understanding of restoration equipment and drying strategies

  • Working knowledge of IICRC standards (particularly S500 Water Damage Restoration and S520 Mould Remediation)

  • Experience reviewing or interpreting site documentation such as moisture readings and job records

Valued

  • Experience overseeing restoration projects or site teams

  • Knowledge of damage/restorability assessment

  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices

  • Experience reviewing reports or technical documentation


Salary

$85,000 – $100,000 + superannuation, depending on experience.
