About the Role:
We’re seeking a passionate and results-driven Retail Sales Development Manager to manage a key territory across Adelaide metropolitan areas. This full-time, field-based role is focused on strengthening Penrite’s retail presence across a dynamic region that includes independent stores, national retail chains, and automotive outlets.
Reporting directly to the Trade Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for driving sales performance, executing retail initiatives, and building long-term relationships with retail partners. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced and hands-on environment.
Some weekend work and attendance at trade shows or promotional events may be required.
Responsibilities:
Manage and grow sales across Adelaide metropolitan and surrounding areas of South Australia retail accounts.
Develop strong, lasting relationships with store owners, managers, and key retail staff.
Implement in-store promotions, planograms, and merchandising initiatives to maximise product visibility.
Monitor and report on stock levels, promotional performance, and retail compliance.
Provide training and support to retail staff to improve product knowledge and customer engagement.
Analyse sales trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities and tailor growth strategies.
Work closely with the national retail sales team to ensure consistency of brand execution.
Represent Penrite at retail events, trade shows, and other marketing activations as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in field sales, territory management, or retail account management.
Prior tenure with a major oil brand or a reseller/distributor of a major oil and lubricant company.
Proven ability to grow retail sales and foster strong B2B relationships.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Highly organised with strong planning and time management abilities.
Self-motivated and confident working independently across multiple sites.
Valid driver’s licence and full Australian working rights.
