The Opportunity:

We've expanded and with the opening of our brand-new, state-of-the-art workshop facility, we're looking for a hands-on Trade Assistant / Wash Bay Attendant to join our afternoon shift team.

This is your opportunity to work in a newly built, modern workshop designed for safety, efficiency and performance.

Reporting to the Leading Hand, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work and thrives in an active workshop environment. The role involves regular manual handling and being on your feet throughout the shift, including lifting, bending, pushing and pulling.

You'll work under the leadership of an experienced team, and if you're eager to learn, you'll be surrounded by people willing to share their knowledge. No two days are the same. This role suits someone who takes ownership, shows initiative and genuinely wants to grow in a fast-moving workshop environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Carrying out fleet and equipment washing to required quality and presentation standards
  • Assisting with general maintenance, minor repairs, and workshop support tasks
  • Conducting fleet and equipment inspections, ensuring assets are safe, compliant, and ready for use
  • Reporting any faults, defects, hazards, incidents or near misses to management
  • Assisting trades and the broader workshop team with job site and yard tasks
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised workshop and wash bay
  • Ensuring tools, equipment and facilities are maintained in good working order
  • Completing documentation and records accurately and professionally
  • Working collaboratively with the team to achieve daily goals and supporting our customers

What You'll Bring:

  • Heavy Vehicle Driver's Licence (essential)
  • Forklift Licence (essential)
  • Demonstrated experience working in a workshop or industrial environment
  • Confidence using hands and power tools
  • A practical, hands-on approach and strong attention to detail
  • Good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • A strong commitment to safety and teamwork
