About the Role & Duties
We are seeking an experienced Communications Technician to join an underground electrical construction team at Olympic Dam.
This role will involve:
• Installation and termination of fibre optic, coaxial and data cabling
• Structured cabling and communications infrastructure underground
• Cable tray and containment works
• Testing, fault finding and commissioning of communications systems
This position will suit an experienced underground or heavy industrial Data/Communication Technician who has worked on mining, major infrastructure or construction projects and is confident working in challenging underground environments. Experience working alongside electrical construction crews on large-scale industrial sites will be highly regarded.
What's in it for You?
• $61.65/hr flat rate
• 8:6 FIFO roster (day shift)
• Camp and meals provided
• Flights from Adelaide included (interstate candidates must self-fund to/from ADL)
• Ongoing project work
• Immediate start available
Requirements
• ACMA Open Cabler Registration
• Endorsements: Coaxial, Fibre and Structured/Data
• Working at Heights (within 5 years)
• High Risk Work Licence - WP (Boom >11m)
• White Card
• Current driver's licence
• Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol screen
