The Role
We are seeking a highly capable Factory Maintenance Officer to join our team. This role is to carry out a preventative, planned maintenance programme and general maintenance and repair of facilities, buildings, grounds, machinery and equipment to ensure the effective running of the business. This role must be familiar with relevant legislation, standards and practices and maintain a professional approach to the duties and interactions. 

The suitable candidate MUST HAVE proven maintenance and electrical experience.

The Job Description

• Preventative and corrective maintenance and repairs on plant and equipment to ensure that production is not disrupted.

• Making minor and major repairs and conducting regular inspections of equipment.

• Completing reports to Managers alerting them to "unsafe" or "out of order" equipment.

• Coordinates or installs, inspects, repairs and maintains the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems across the factory and office building.

• Maintaining appropriate level of lighting in and around factory, changing globes and ancillary equipment when necessary.

• Diagnosing and correcting equipment, plant and facilities failures.

• Implement improvements for the manufacturing plant.

• Coordinates or inspects, operates and maintains the heating, cooling and ventilation systems and ensures that these systems are properly cleaned and in good working condition.

• Minor building and/or equipment repairs and upgrades as directed.

• Determines material, equipment and supplies to be used.

• Provision of regular reports to the Directors of maintenance needs, suggested solutions and estimated costing for repairs

• Maintaining a maintenance log.

• Welding repairs.
