About the Role
As Assistant Parts Manager you’ll join our close knit and supportive Trade Centre at our Glen Osmond dealership. Our Trade Centre is the hub for trade quotes, orders and enquires for our current mix of manufacturer brands, being GWM, Honda and Mitsubishi. The Assistant Parts Manager will build strong relationships with trade customers to ensure ongoing business. In this role, you will also play a key part in delivering on our commitment to customer satisfaction. You’ll provide vital support to our Honda technicians, helping them maintain high productivity and efficiency. By ensuring they have the right parts at the right time, you’ll help get our Glen Osmond Service customers back on the road quickly—fixed right the first time.
General duties & Responsibilities
Interpreting parts enquiries – phone, retail over the counter, service and online
Quotes
Coverage for Parts Manager role during leave and as required
Invoicing
Taking payment
Outbound and inbound orders through DMS
Occasional assistance in receiving stock, dispatching orders and driving the parts van for pick ups and drop off of orders
Skills & Experience
A trade certificate in Parts Interpreting – preferred but not essential
Drivers Licence
Proven experience in a similar position including knowledge of the automotive trade
Exceptional customer service skills including a professional phone manner
Intermediate computer skills as a minimum – email, DMS, online catalogues, excel and data entry skills
A good team person
Able to prioritise and meet deadlines
Someone who is able to lead the Parts team in the absence of the Parts Manger
Previous proven experience with references required. Retainer will be based on level of experience.
