A successful salon requires a competent hairdresser to ensure customer satisfaction and drive the creative direction of the business. A hairdresser is also responsible for overseeing health and safety compliance, licensing and all retail operations. Providing hairdressing services; such as shampooing, cutting, colouring, styling hair, perming, chemical straightening and massaging and treating scalp.  

• Over 2 years experience
• Certificate III in Hair dressing qualification 
• Promptly and effectively resolves customer complaints using the recommended process and focusing on customer satisfaction; maintains all records regarding complaints and redos.
• Focuses on salon cleanliness, wait times, service and convenience.
• Demonstrates and reinforces proper use of the telephone.
• Reinforces proper consultation procedures and customer service standards.
• Analyze clients' hair and other physical features to determine and suggest hair styles; Bleach, dye, or tint hair, using applicator or brush.
• Cut, trim and shape hair or hairpieces, based on customers' instructions, hair type and facial features, using clippers, scissors, trimmers. 
• Demonstrate and sell hair care products.
• Develop new styles and techniques
• Keep work stations clean and sanitize tools such as scissors and combs;
• Operate cash registers to receive payments from patrons;
• Schedule client appointments
• Shampoo, rinse, condition and dry hair and scalp or hairpieces with water, liquid soap, or other solutions
• Update and maintain customer information records, such as colour services
