At ACNA, our work matters—every day, we help older Australians access the care and support they need to live life on their terms. As we continue to grow and navigate significant Aged Care reform, we’re looking for two Senior Operations Managers, based in Adelaide, Sydney or Melbourne, to lead our national Aged Care Assessment teams. If you are driven by purpose, energised by complexity and motivated by building teams where people can be their best – this is a role where you can genuinely make your mark.
What is the role?
Reporting to the Executive Director – Single Assessment, you will lead ACNA’s frontline leaders and teams to contribute effectively to program outcomes.
In your role you will:
Manage the operational delivery of high-quality Aged Care Assessments
Lead teams to achieve consistent performance and accountability
Strengthen team culture and cross-functional communication to maintain alignment with ACNA values and behaviours
Translate long‑term strategy into scalable operations that deliver sustainable, positive outcomes
Translate organisational priorities into measurable workplans
Partner with leaders and teams across all ACNA to deliver the program requirements and operational strategy.
This senior operational role is hands-on, with influence extending from the Executive Team to frontline team engagement.
What will a typical week look like?
As one of our Senior Operations Managers you will move between strategy, leadership and operations. You can expect your week to include:
Working alongside your Executive Director and peers, to deliver excellent program outcomes using Aged Care specialist knowledge, workforce insights and strategic priorities.
Coaching and partnering with senior leaders to focus on people development, capability, confidence and culture.
Leading continuous improvement initiatives across leadership, capability and performance.
Influencing system and program design, to ensure people impacts are considered from the outset.
No two weeks will look the same, and each will contribute to building a strong and sustainable Single Assessment program.
Who are we looking for?
You are an experienced Aged Care clinical leader who brings strong operational skills, change management experience, strategic experience and human insight.
We’re looking for a leader who:
Has a minimum of 3 years demonstrated people leadership in an aged care setting that has built capacity of teams and fosters team culture
Navigates change with confidence, clarity and pragmatism
Drives My Aged Care KPI results while ensuring quality, compliance, and financial outcomes, and takes a solutions-focused approach that empowers teams and supports effective escalation
Builds trust quickly and leads with authenticity and accountability
Holds a relevant health qualification (RN, OT, Physio, Social Work or similar) that supports effective leadership of clinical assessment delivery and governance
Holds a postgraduate qualification in business administration and/or management (or equivalent applied experience)
Is based in Adelaide, Sydney or Melbourne.
Why Join us?
At ACNA, you’ll join an organisation with a clear purpose: helping people access the support they need to live life on their terms. Our work is practical, meaningful and deeply connected to the communities we serve.
As a Senior Operations Manager, you’ll help shape an organisation that values clarity, integrity and continuous improvement. “Being our best” isn’t a slogan — it’s how we operate.
We learn, adapt and share knowledge so we can deliver high‑quality outcomes for clients and create an environment where our people can thrive.
If you’re looking for a role where your leadership directly influences culture, capability and the future of aged care assessment in Australia, ACNA offers the opportunity to make a genuine and lasting impact.
