ROLE – Process & Quality Engineer
SALARY - $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, dependent on experience
TYPE – Permanent
LOCATION – Adelaide, SA
My client is a leading manufacturer of precision-engineered products. They are looking for a Process & Quality Engineer to join their team in Adelaide on a permanent basis.
The Process & Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering or similar
At least 2 years of experience in a Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement or Quality Engineering position in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of quality management systems and quality assurance processes
Experience with root cause analysis techniques, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies
Understanding of ISO 9001 and quality compliance requirements
Experience developing and improving manufacturing processes and work instructions
Able to analyse production data and identify process improvement opportunities
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Able to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines
Able to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
The Process & Quality Engineer role will involve:
Monitoring and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality and productivity
Investigating quality issues and implementing corrective and preventative actions
Conducting root cause analysis and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Developing and maintaining process documentation, work instructions and quality procedures
Supporting internal and external quality audits
Ensuring products meet customer, regulatory and company quality standards
Working closely with production, engineering and supply chain teams to resolve manufacturing issues
Analysing production and quality performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Participating in new product introduction activities and process validation
Implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma improvement projects
Supporting supplier quality activities and non-conformance investigations
Driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the business
