Production Operator / Food Process Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Operator / Food Process Worker to join our operations at our small-scale poultry food manufacturing plant. The Production Operator will be responsible for operating machinery and equipment, processing, packaging and quality assurance of items.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating production machinery and adjusting equipment to track gauge readings 

• Keep track of cleaning and maintenance of machines to keep them in good working order 

• Plan and schedule production runs based on demands forecast, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers 

• Continuously evaluate production processes to identify areas for improvement 

• Implement new strategies or technologies to enhance productivity and reduce costs

Qualifications:

• At least a relevant AQF Certificate II qualification or equivalent; or 1 year of relevant work experience to substitute the qualification

• Proven experience as a Food process worker, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of poultry processing and food safety regulations.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Able to handle working in Cold Rooms/Freezer Rooms
