About the Position:

Cochrane’s Transport is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Freight Handlers to join our team at our Gillman depot on a casual basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading freight from trucks and trailers
  • Sorting and staging freight for dispatch
  • Operating pallet jacks and forklifts (desirable)
  • Ensuring freight is handled safely and efficiently
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area
  • Following all workplace health and safety procedures

About you:

  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks and lift heavy items
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Forklift license (preferred but not essential)
  • Previous experience in freight handling or warehousing (advantageous)
