We are currently seeking experienced MC Linehaul Drivers to join our team for a project.

About the Role:

  • Captive.

  • Dedicated Prime Mover.

  • New Contract.

  • Perform Prestart checks on truck and trailers to be used for the day using the Freight 2020 mobility app. 

  • Delivering or collecting loads interstate as allocated by the operations team. 

  • Ensuring that the operations team is aware of any delays in transit. 

  • Ensure truck and trailer cleanliness before arriving at customer site. 

  • Ensure Fatigue management system in truck is working efficiently and report any issues to Ops and Safety team immediately. 

  • Always ensure truck and trailer safety. 

  • Check correct load restraints are in place prior to starting your journey from pick up to delivery. 

  • Check temperature requirement of your load and set it accordingly. 

  • Follow all road rules as per various State and National authorities. 

  • Maintaining a strict compliance to NHVR’s standard hours (breaks, rest periods, etc). 

  • Fill out logbook sheets compliantly as per NHVR requirements. 

  • Ensure fatigue management throughout your trips. 

  • Ensure pallet dockets are managed at all sites as directed by Hawk Management. 

  • Communicate any Safety issues or incidents to Hawk Management. 

  • Always behaving in a professional manner to all internal and external stakeholders. 

About you: 

  • Experience in refrigerated transport compulsory. 

  • Experience with food logistics compulsory.  

  • Loading & unloading required for most routes. 

  • All drivers are required to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test. 

  • Are well presented, safety focused, and customer focused. 

  • Ability to follow all company polices including daily start-up checks on vehicles and equipment. 

  • Road Train work available for experienced and suitable applicants SA – Vic – SA. 

  • High level of attention to detail with ability to complete paperwork accurately. 

  • Strong understanding and experience of paperwork compliance such as proof of delivery and pallet transfer documentation.  

  • Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients and fellow employees. 

  • Take pride in their work and have a can-do attitude. 

  • Vehicles are fitted with GPS tracking and Guardian Seeing Eye Technology. 

To be successful for this role applicants must: 

  • Good communication skills including reading and writing. 

  • Good understanding of Fatigue and Mass Management.  

  • Hold a current MC license with 2 years minimum driving experience driving BD combinations. 

  • For Road Train related applicants, minimum of 2 years driving A-Double Road Trains with dolly. 

  • Have previous experience in transportation of refrigeration goods. 

  • Be able to work shift work including weekends as required. 

  • Have solid customer service capability. 

  • Have own means of getting to work and home.
