Reporting to the Procurement Team Lead, the Purchasing Officer will be responsible for managing purchase orders, supplier stock levels, and freight coordination to ensure efficient and timely procurement of goods from local national suppliers. In this key role, you will help maintain optimal stock levels, meet company targets, and uphold high reliability standards.

The key accountabilities of the role will include:

  • Manage purchase orders for our local national suppliers
  • Ensure stock availability by maintaining supplier safety stock
  • Monitor and update forecasts for all products
  • Work closely with freight forwarders to track shipments and resolve issues
  • Expedite overdue orders and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Collaborate with sales and warehouse teams to ensure stock meets customer demand
  • Maintain procurement systems and ensure data integrity between platforms
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to company profitability

To be successful in the role you’ll possess the following:
Experience: Background in procurement, purchasing, or inventory management
Tech-Savvy: Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
Communication: Clear, confident, and professional verbal and written skills
Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure
Team Player: Collaborative and proactive approach to supporting internal teams
Customer-Focused: Commitment to ensuring stock availability to meet demand
