About the role
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Commercial Manager to join our team in a permanent part-time capacity. This strategic role is responsible for driving market growth, increasing profitability, strengthening client relationships, identifying new commercial opportunities and revenue streams.
You will lead corporate and commercial initiatives, negotiate and manage contracts, oversee revenue streams, manage risk, and build long-term partnerships that support the organisation's strategic objectives. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am – 12:00pm. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven professional who thrives on business development, stakeholder engagement, and delivering sustainable commercial outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Lead commercial and corporate strategies to support organisational growth and profitability, preparing competitive proposals for optimal profitability
Negotiate, prepare and manage contracts, service agreements and commercial arrangements ensuring compliance with relevant legislation whilst assessing risks and developing mitigation strategies
Manage budgets, financial performance and costs associated with commercial activities.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with a focus on market expansion and revenue growth by developing strong relationships with corporate and commercial clients
Monitor and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure contractual obligations are achieved.
Collaborate and maintain relationships with corporate partners and commercial stakeholders via retention strategies and investigate and resolve issues to prevent revenue leakage from existing contracted services.
Identify and coordinate sponsorship and partnership opportunities that enhance organisational reputation and market presence.
Monitor market trends, customer activity and competitor movements to identify opportunities for growth while evaluating commercial performance against strategic goals and key performance indicators
Actively contribute to the Business Development team and broader organisational objectives.
To be successful you will have:
Essential
Demonstrated experience in commercial management, business development, contract management or corporate partnerships.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities.
Financial literacy with experience developing pricing models, budgets and commercial proposals.
Exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Proven sales and business development success, preferably within the medical or healthcare sector.
Experience attracting, developing and retaining clients through a variety of business development strategies, including cold calling.
Experience in contract administration and/or commercial operations (preferred).
A strong track record of improving customer satisfaction and client retention.
Proven ability to build and maintain productive client relationships.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate insights into business outcomes.
Knowledge of the healthcare or medical industry and its commercial environment.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
High attention to detail with exceptional organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing demands and adapt to changing business needs.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity.
Legal right to work in Australia
A valid National Police Certificate (for the purpose of employment)
Desirable (but not essential)
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
