Civil/Construction Worker

The Role

This is a hands-on position across a variety of residential and commercial building sites. The successful applicant will assist with general construction tasks, site preparation, material handling, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• General labouring and construction duties

• Site set-up, preparation, and clean-up

• Assisting tradespeople including carpenters, concreters, and other contractors

• Loading, unloading, and moving building materials

• Operating hand and power tools safely

• Following site safety procedures and OH&S requirements

• Assisting with demolition, framing, fit-out, and finishing works as required

• Following instructions from site supervisors and project managers

About You

• Previous experience in construction, building, or a related trade is preferred

• Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Experienced in reading and interpreting construction plans, site set outs and levels

• Competent in the use of laser levels and other site measurement equipment

• Able to accurately estimate and organise materials required for civil and site works

• Experienced in operating a range of earthmoving equipment, including bob cats, excavators, front-end loaders, and other construction machinery

• Willing and capable of undertaking physically demanding tasks when required, including digging, raking, lifting, and other manual labour

• Strong understanding of site safety requirements and construction best practices

• Current White Card and driver’s licence essential
