Practice Nurse (RN)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Practice Nurse (Registered Nurse) with General Practice experience to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a caring nature, high-level communication skills and attention to detail.

A Casual position is available and we are open to discussing shift times that suit your needs!

The Practice Nurse will:

• Be experienced in the delivery of immunisations, wound care, care plans/health assessments, chronic disease support, recalls/triage, ECG/spirometry, cold chain, and stock management

• Be able to work independently and part of a team

• Participate in Quality Improvement Activities

• Provide culturally appropriate assessments, therapeutic and education services for clients with chronic disease as required

• Ensure that clients receive education on the use of therapies and treatments prescribed and feedback on the outcomes of therapy and treatment

• Adhere to relevant professional Code of Ethics guidelines

• A willingness to implement and adapt to change when required to benefit patients, staff, and the wider group

About You

• Current general or specialist AHPRA registration (as a Registered Nurse) is essential

• GP/primary care experience

• Good availability and flexibility to cover leave

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Current CPR and compliant with requirements for AHPRA registration

• Vaccination competency

• Strong computer literacy and familiarity with Best Practice/Medical Director (or willingness to learn)
