Safety (WHS) standards on the production floor.&nbsp;</li><li>Conduct safety briefings and training for team members, including safe use of machinery and personal protective equipment (PPE).&nbsp;</li><li>Report incidents and hazards promptly, and follow up with preventive action&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor use of steel stock, fasteners, profiles and other manufacturing materials.&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate ordering/stock replenishment with procurement or management as needed.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure tools, jigs and equipment are maintained and available.&nbsp;</li><li>Supervise, coach, and mentor production staff to maintain high performance and productivity.&nbsp;</li><li>Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to improve skills and teamwork.&nbsp;</li><li>Support onboarding and training of new production team members.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare production reports (output, quality, downtime, resource usage) and share insights with production or operations managers.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain accurate production, safety and quality records in line with company procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in continuous improvement meetings.</li><li>&nbsp;Identify opportunities to enhance manufacturing processes, productivity and workflow.&nbsp;</li><li>Propose and implement improvements in collaboration with management (Lean practices, layout changes, better tooling, safer methods).</li></ul> <h3>Qualification & experience</h3>Qualifications &amp; Experience&nbsp;<ul><li>AQF Certificate III including at least two (2) years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Manufacturing, Building &amp; Construction, or similar).&nbsp;</li><li>At least three (3) years of relevant industry experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated experience supervising or leading a production or manufacturing team, preferably within light gauge steel (LGS), framing, truss or structural steel manufacturing.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and workflow optimisation.</li></ul>Technical Skills &amp; Knowledge&nbsp;<ul><li>Ability to read, interpret and work from technical drawings, shop drawings and specifications.&nbsp;</li><li>Sound knowledge of quality control processes and inspection requirements within a manufacturing environment.</li><li>&nbsp;Familiarity with LGS framing systems, trusses, joists and panelised construction (highly regarded).&nbsp;</li><li>Competency in using production reporting systems, spreadsheets and basic computer applications.&nbsp;</li></ul>Safety &amp; Compliance&nbsp;<ul><li>Strong knowledge of Work Health &amp; Safety (WHS) legislation and safe work practices in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>&nbsp;Experience conducting safety briefings, risk assessments and incident reporting.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to enforce PPE requirements and safe operation of machinery and equipment.&nbsp;</li></ul>Leadership &amp;
