We're looking for an experienced Kitchen Hand / Cook to join our kitchen team and help us keep every plate consistent, fresh, and full of flavour.
The Role
As our Kitchen Hand / Cook, you'll be at the heart of the kitchen — preparing and cooking our menu to ANQ's standards, keeping service moving during busy periods, and helping maintain the quality and consistency our regulars know and love. You'll work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team, and support and guide junior kitchen staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities

 <li>Prepare and cook menu items — including pho, banh mi, noodle salads, rice bowls, and fresh spring rolls — to ANQ's recipes and presentation standards</li>
 <li>Complete mise en place and food prep ahead of service to keep the kitchen running smoothly</li>
 <li>Maintain consistency, portion control, and presentation across every dish</li>
 <li>Monitor stock levels of kitchen ingredients, rotate stock (FIFO), and flag shortages or ordering needs</li>
 <li>Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards at all times</li>
 <li>Help train, coach, and support junior kitchen staff, including dishwashers/runners</li>
 <li>Liaise with the front-of-house team to keep ticket timing and communication smooth during service</li>
 <li>Keep the kitchen, equipment, and storage areas clean, organised, and compliant</li>
 <li>Step into any kitchen section as needed to support the team during peak periods</li>

About You
<ul>
 <li>Previous experience as a cook, chef, or in a similar kitchen role, ideally in Vietnamese or Asian cuisine</li>
 <li>Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices; a Food Safety Supervisor certificate is a plus</li>
 <li>Able to work efficiently and stay calm under pressure during busy service</li>
 <li>Strong attention to detail and consistency in food quality and presentation</li>
 <li>Reliable, hands-on, and comfortable working as part of a close-knit team</li>
 <li>Available to work evenings and weekends</li>
