National Safety, Quality & Compliance Manager

As the business continues to expand nationally, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced National Safety, Quality & Compliance Manager to take ownership of the organisation's safety, quality and compliance framework while helping shape a high-performance culture across multiple operational businesses.

Based in Adelaide and reporting directly to the National General Manager, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with operational leaders, site teams and senior management to drive continuous improvement, strengthen compliance capability and ensure the organisation maintains the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.

This is not a desk-based compliance role. We are seeking a hands-on leader who enjoys being in the field, building relationships with operational teams, coaching leaders and influencing positive cultural change.

About the Role
Working across multiple business units nationally, you will be responsible for leading and continuously improving integrated management systems while ensuring compliance with legislative, client and certification requirements.

You will oversee the organisation's ISO accreditation framework, lead audit and improvement initiatives, support operational leaders and provide strategic advice to senior management on safety, quality and compliance performance.

The role will involve approximately 20% national travel to operational sites, with the remainder of your time based in Adelaide.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the organisation's integrated management system across; ISO 9001 Quality Management; ISO 14001 Environmental Management; ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all business units.
• Develop, review and enhance policies, procedures and operational systems.
• Support and coach leaders to strengthen safety and compliance capability.
• Foster a proactive safety culture focused on engagement, accountability and learning.
• Conduct site visits, audits and compliance reviews across national operations.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action programs.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and ensure organisational compliance.
• Develop and deliver training, toolbox talks and awareness programs.
• Manage external certification audits and client compliance requirements.
• Oversee subcontractor compliance, onboarding and ongoing verification processes.
• Provide meaningful reporting, trend analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.

About You
You are an experienced safety, quality or compliance professional who understands how to balance governance requirements with operational realities.

You are confident engaging with frontline workers, supervisors and senior leaders alike and have a genuine passion for improving workplace culture rather than simply enforcing compliance.

You will bring:

• Experience in a national or multi-site safety, quality or compliance leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Demonstrated experience managing audits, accreditations and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent coaching, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• A practical and solutions-focused approach.
• The ability to travel nationally as required.

Highly Regarded Experience
Experience within the electrical services, construction or industrial services would be considered highly advantageous.

A trade background combined with compliance, safety or quality management experience will be viewed favourably.
