About the opportunity:

Drakes Supermarkets is looking for a site based Human Resources Officer to support business human resource objectives through the provision of recruitment, training, succession planning and employee relations advice.

This is a generalist position and will be responsible for:

  • Participating in end-to-end recruitment processes

  • Providing advice to internal Drakes management and team members regarding employee relations issues/queries

  • Developing and reviewing Drake’s policies, procedures and processes

  • Developing Letters of Offer

  • Supporting Human Resources Driven projects

Skills and experience

Successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Knowledge and experience with employee relations legislation

  • End to end recruitment

  • High level prioritisation, organisational and time management skills which results in the ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication skills and people skills with strong internal and external customer stakeholder focus

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Ability to influence others, build rapport and make positive change

  • Ability to cope with changing work demands and a fast-changing environment
