Kitchen Hand

Market St Patisserie / Cafe - in Adelaide's iconic Central Market precinct - is seeking an enthusiastic person to fill the role of Kitchen Hand - joining our dedicated team.

We are looking to engage a positive, motivated person with previous Kitchen Hand experience to work with the team to ensure that all products are delivered to the highest quality.

Successful candidates will be experienced working in a fast-paced team focused environment, and it is essential you also have:

• Proven experience in back of house operations - including demonstrated use of a commercial dishwasher, receiving and putting away deliveries, and basic cleaning skills

• An eagerness to learn and are able to work under pressure 

• A high level of personal presentation and communication skills

• The ability to prioritise and manage tasks

• Experience in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment and the ability to follow instructions

• Experience in preparing ingredients through washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning to support daily kitchen operations.

• The ability to collaborate with the Bakery & Cafe Leaders to support the team with additional tasks as required.

• The ability to uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times, in line with regulatory and company requirements.

To Be Successful In This Role
You will need to have: 

• Proven Kitchen Hand / Kitchen Assistant experience

• Ability to work under pressure

• Possess a strong work ethic

• The ability to work Saturdays

This is a casual position which will require flexibility and weekend work.
