Are you passionate about creating memorable dining experiences and delivering outstanding customer service? The Mount Gambier Hotel is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Duty Manager to join our vibrant team for 20 to 38 hours per week!

About the Role – Duty Manager (Mount Gambier)

We are seeking a vibrant, confident, and motivated Duty Manager to join our Mount Gambier Hotel team.
This role is offered on a casual basis (20–38 hours per week) with a rotating 7-day roster, including nights and weekends. This job can be fulltime-salary for the right person

You will:

Deliver outstanding customer service across bar, bistro, and gaming
Lead and support the team during service
Maintain compliance with all liquor, gaming and WHS requirements
Ensure accuracy in cash handling, procedures, and reporting
Help create the warm, welcoming environment Mount Gambier hotel is known for

About You – What You Bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

Minimum 2 years’ hospitality experience (supervisory preferred)
Gaming experience (essential)
Strong knowledge of SA liquor legislation
A friendly, approachable and professional demeanor
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Trustworthy, organized and confident in leading shifts

Essential Qualifications:

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
Responsible Person Badge (or willingness to obtain)
Basic Gaming + Advanced Gaming Certificates
TAB experience (advantage but not essential)
Additional Skills:

Accurate cash handling
Understanding of food safety & WHS requirements
Basic food-handling experience
