Pathology Collector

Responsibilities

• Collect blood, urine, swabs, and other pathology samples from patients.
• Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labelling.
• Prepare and store specimens according to protocols.
• Complete paperwork and data entry with attention to detail.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the collection area.
• Provide clear instructions and support to patients.
• Follow infection control and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with general administrative and clerical tasks.

Skills and Experience

• Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection, or relevant industry experience.
• Excellent customer service skills, both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
• Strong time management and organisational abilities.
• Sound clinical knowledge and understanding of specimen collection procedures.
• Effective communication skills with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work independently and flexibly across weekday and weekend shifts.
• Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
• Current and valid Driver’s Licence.
• Full working rights in Australia.
