Direct Care Australia is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded leader to take ownership of our Community Aged Care division and help drive its next phase of growth, innovation and service development.
This is not a maintenance role.
We are looking for someone who can identify opportunities, build capability, drive performance and help shape the future of community-based aged care services across South Australia and Queensland.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead the strategic, operational and financial performance of the division while supporting the organisation's growth ambitions across existing and emerging programs and funding opportunities.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead Community Aged Care operations across South Australia and Queensland.
Drive growth across existing and emerging aged care programs and funding streams.
Identify and pursue opportunities relating to Support at Home, CHSP, TCP, STRC, Social Support Programs, grants, partnerships and future service initiatives.
Build and lead a high-performing, accountable and engaged team.
Monitor divisional financial performance, budgets and operational sustainability.
Lead departmental financial and operational reporting.
Analyse financial and operational data to support informed decision-making.
Prepare Executive, Leadership Group and Board reports.
Develop strategic stakeholder relationships and referral pathways.
Ensure strong governance, compliance, audit readiness and quality outcomes.
Drive continuous improvement, innovation and organisational performance.
Contribute to strategic planning and future service development.
You are a proactive and solutions-focused leader who thrives on growth, innovation and continuous improvement.
You understand that sustainable community services require strong client outcomes, workforce capability, financial performance and strategic thinking.
You will bring:
Leadership experience within aged care, community services, health or a related sector.
Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience in aged care, community services, health or related sectors is required.
Strong operational leadership and people management capability.
People management experience with responsibility for a minimum of 5-10 team members is essential.
Experience driving growth, service development or business improvement initiatives.
Demonstrated financial literacy and experience managing budgets, departmental performance and reporting.
Experience managing budgets between $1M-$5M and demonstrated financial responsibility at this scale is required.
Ability to interpret and utilise financial information to drive operational performance and decision-making.
Experience preparing executive, governance or Board-level reports.
Strong understanding of quality, compliance and audit requirements.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills.
