We are looking for a talented electronics technician to work in a full time permanent capacity in our manufacturing facility in Lonsdale.

Here is what you will be doing

As a Defence Electronics Technician you will be responsible for the assembly and testing of complex electronic systems and subsystems while maintaining high quality and delivering on schedule. This is a direct manufacturing role, with typical duties including:

• Ability to build equipment from both Work instructions and Engineering drawings.
• Troubleshoot Equipment and Process failures
• Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures for products and processes
• Assist the Engineering team in running prototype and trial runs through various processes
• Verify correct machine setups.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis teams.
• Perform maintenance activities as per existing instruction sheets.
• Ensure all tasks are consistently undertaken with safe working practices and adherence with REDARC WHS policies.
• Undertake other reasonable tasks delegated to you by your supervisor.

What you will need

• Good communication skills
• IPC standard for assembly and soldering.
• Good team player and ability to work autonomously.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• A proactive approach to problem solving.

Ideally, you have

• Work experience in cable assembly.
• Good understanding of electronics manufacturing.
• Familiarity with measurement equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Spectrum analysers and Power meters.

Clearances

Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances. The requirements for this role include a police clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance.
