We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fitter with hands-on experience in power generators to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of diesel and gas-powered generators ranging from small portable units to large industrial sets.
Key Responsibilities
Install, service, and maintain power generators in line with manufacturer and industry standards
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in generator systems
Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections
Assist with load testing and commissioning of new equipment
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies on site
Requirements
Proven experience as a Fitter or Technician working with power generators
Strong mechanical and basic electrical knowledge
Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g., Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic)
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to site locations
Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
Desirable (Not Essential)
Experience with load banks and generator control panels
Electrical license or additional certifications (e.g., confined space, working at heights)
Familiarity with major generator brands (e.g., Cummins, Perkins, CAT, FG Wilson)
