The Master Builders Association of South Australia (MBASA) is a trusted leader in the building and construction industry, supporting members to achieve the highest standards in safety, compliance, and workmanship.
Through our Group Training Organisation, we employ apprentices and place them with reputable host employers across South Australia. Our focus is on developing skilled, reliable apprentices who receive quality training and on‑the‑job experience, shaping them into the next generation of qualified electricians.
The Role
We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic electrical apprentices who are keen to learn all aspects of the electrical trade. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification.
As an MBASA apprentice, you will be supported throughout your apprenticeship by both your host employer and a dedicated MBASA Field Officer. This support includes regular workplace visits and guidance to help you succeed in a safe, positive, and supportive work environment.

Skills / Requirements
• A strong desire to become a qualified electrician
• Good aptitude for maths and problem‑solving, particularly in measurements and basic electrical concepts
• Certificate II in Electrotechnology (preferred) or relevant electrical work experience
• A valid driver’s licence (Provisional Minimum Required)
• CPR & LVR
• A current Construction White Card
• A current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
• A current Working With Children Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Comfortable using hand and power tools and working in confined spaces or at heights
Medical and Drug & Alcohol Requirements
Due to the safety‑sensitive nature of this role, successful applicants will be required to pass a pre‑employment medical assessment, which will include drug and alcohol screening. Ongoing testing may also be required in line with host employer and site requirements.
