Maintenance Fitter

Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Fitter to join their maintenance team based in Penfield Gardens. This position is ideal for a trade-qualified fitter with strong fault-finding skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• $47.50 per hour + additional 15% afternoon shift loading
• Permanent afternoon shift with a 3pm start
• Comprehensive induction and training

Please note: The first two weeks will be completed on day shift for induction, with shared weekend roster requirements approximately 10 times per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant and machinery to minimise downtime
• Conduct fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
• Complete scheduled maintenance, equipment installations and improvement projects
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and spare parts inventory
• Ensure all work complies with safety procedures, manufacturer specifications and industry standards
• Work closely with production teams to support operational targets
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to Workplace Health & Safety at all times.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance environment
• Strong mechanical maintenance skills
• Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities
• Experience working with preventative maintenance systems
• Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
