The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an early-career Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Adelaide. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of projects, designing and coordinating heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional developments.

Working alongside experienced engineers, you will play a key role in delivering practical, compliant, and cost-effective design solutions that support successful project outcomes while developing your technical skills and industry experience.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing, developing, and reviewing HVAC and mechanical building services systems

  • Preparing engineering reports, specifications, and technical documentation

  • Coordinating with internal teams and liaise with clients, consultants, architects, and contractors

  • Attending project meetings and assisting with stakeholder communication

  • Managing deliverables across multiple projects while maintaining quality and deadlines

  • Supporting project delivery, including reviewing drawings and assisting with site inspections

  • Ensuring designs meet relevant codes, standards (NCC, Australian Standards), and best-practice principles

  • Maintaining accurate project records and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines

  • Contributing to team collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (completed or due for completion in 2026)

  • A positive attitude and strong team mindset

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • A proactive, problem-solving approach

  • Experience with engineering design software or HVAC load estimation software is desirable but not essential

  • Previous industry placement experience is preferred, but graduates without experience are also welcome to apply

  • Must be based in Adelaide
