The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an early-career Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Adelaide. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of projects, designing and coordinating heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional developments.
Working alongside experienced engineers, you will play a key role in delivering practical, compliant, and cost-effective design solutions that support successful project outcomes while developing your technical skills and industry experience.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Designing, developing, and reviewing HVAC and mechanical building services systems
Preparing engineering reports, specifications, and technical documentation
Coordinating with internal teams and liaise with clients, consultants, architects, and contractors
Attending project meetings and assisting with stakeholder communication
Managing deliverables across multiple projects while maintaining quality and deadlines
Supporting project delivery, including reviewing drawings and assisting with site inspections
Ensuring designs meet relevant codes, standards (NCC, Australian Standards), and best-practice principles
Maintaining accurate project records and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines
Contributing to team collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (completed or due for completion in 2026)
A positive attitude and strong team mindset
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
A proactive, problem-solving approach
Experience with engineering design software or HVAC load estimation software is desirable but not essential
Previous industry placement experience is preferred, but graduates without experience are also welcome to apply
Must be based in Adelaide
