Grounds Maintenance Operator

We are hiring multiple Grounds Maintenance Operators to support this long-term contract. These will be based at RAAF/DST Edinburgh and offered as permanent, full-time opportunities.

About the role

You will be responsible for performing a wide range of manual and machinery-assisted tasks in physically demanding outdoor environments. We also have positions available that are focused on land management duties such as weeding, spraying and mowing.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and clearing land for construction, agriculture, or infrastructure projects.

• Operating machinery/lawn mowers safely and efficiently.

• Loading, transporting, and handling materials and equipment.

• Performing manual labour including digging, lifting, and trenching.

• Conducting equipment checks and report faults or hazards.

• Setting up and cleaning work areas to maintain site safety.

• Participating in toolbox talks and contribute to a safe work culture.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Ability to safely operate mowers, blowers, compactors, and other landscaping equipment.

• Capable of lifting, digging, bending, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively on-site.

• Punctual, dependable, and able to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.

• Relevant licences, white card and first aid requirements are highly regarded.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
