About the role:

Secondary School Counsellor
Ongoing – 37.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (school term weeks only)
Commencing as soon as possible

Concordia College, Highgate, SA is seeking to appoint a Secondary School Counsellor to support students in developing strategies to manage individual, peer, social and emotional concerns.

Skills and Experience:

Tertiary qualifications in counselling, psychology, or social work, with current registration (e.g. AHPRA or AASW)
Demonstrated experience supporting adolescents with social-emotional wellbeing, mental health concerns, and academic or personal challenges in a school or youth services setting
Strong knowledge of evidence-based counselling frameworks and crisis intervention protocols, with the ability to develop and implement individual student support plans
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with students, families, teachers, and external health professionals
Collaborative team player who can work effectively within a team and contribute to whole-school wellbeing programs and initiatives.
