Position Summary The primary function of the Developmental Educator at Together

We Can International Pty Ltd (TWCI is to provide specialised education and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or delays, helping them achieve their fullest potential in various aspects of life. This role involves assessing the educational, social, and developmental needs of clients, creating individualised educational plans, and delivering instruction to support personal growth, independence, and inclusion.

The Developmental Educator works closely with NDIS participants, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for individuals with developmental challenges. About you You are a seasoned and experienced Developmental Educator passionate about empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to reach their fullest potential.

You believe that every person deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead an independent life, regardless of their challenges. With a strong background in special education and developmental support, you are committed to creating personalised and effective strategies that cater to the unique needs of each individual. Taking a holistic approach to education, understanding that each person’s learning style and abilities are different.

Your focus is on developing individualised education plans (IEPs) that support cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioural growth. Experienced in using evidence-based teaching methods, behavioural strategies, and hands-on activities to help individuals improve their communication, daily living skills, and overall quality of life. Non Negotiables

  • Bachelor of Disability and Developmental Education (or equivalent recognised by DEAI)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Working

With Children Check

  • Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA)
  • Sensory Profiling and sensory regulation planning
  • High quality report writing
  • Experience supporting neurodivergent individuals
