Diploma Educator / Room Leader

Hackham West Children's Centre is seeking a passionate and experienced Diploma Educator to join our leadership team as we embark on an exciting new chapter.

This is a unique opportunity to lead an established team of educators and play a key role in our transition into a brand-new, purpose-built early childhood facility opening in the coming months. Looking beyond this exciting move, our centre will become part of a new Integrated Hub in 2027, working in partnership with the Department for Education, Office of Early Childhood Development and local community services to provide high-quality, integrated support for children and families.

Hackham West Children's Centre is a community-focused, not-for-profit service committed to improving outcomes for children and families through high-quality early childhood education and care, family support programs, and strong community partnerships.

Our service offers:

As an integrated site, we provide:

The Opportunity

As a Diploma Educator / Room Leader, you will:

  • Lead and mentor a team of educators

  • Build strong, responsive relationships with children and families

  • Create engaging learning environments that reflect children's interests and strengths

  • Support curriculum planning and documentation aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework

  • Contribute to the exciting transition into our new purpose-built centre

  • Help shape the future of our service as we become part of an innovative Integrated Hub

Essential Requirements
  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)

  • Current Working With Children Check

  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work a range of shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm

Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Practice

  • Knowledge of Circle of Security

  • Leadership or mentoring experience
