About the Role

As a Mentor with Authentic Support, you’ll play an essential role in guiding mentees to discover their hopes, dreams, and goals — and supporting them on their journey to achieve them.

Authentic Support is built on collaboration — no mentor works in isolation. We share ideas, strategies, and wins as a team to achieve the best outcomes for our mentees. We also come together regularly for bi-monthly team catch-ups, creating a supportive and connected community.

Some of the tasks and responsibilities of supporting a person with a disability involve

• Assistance with daily tasks and activities
• Personal daily care and hygiene needs
• Community access and community inclusion
• Emotional support
• Mobility support
• Transport help to appointments, therapies, social events, shopping and more
• Learning opportunities 
• Home maintenance and cooking
• Encouraging healthy and positive family relationships and friendships

Candidate's minimum requirements 

• All 3 NDIS e-learning modules: Orientation, Induction & Supporting effective communication. 
• COVID-19 infection control training 
• Working with children check (Blue Card)
• NDIS worker check (Yellow Card)
• Current driver's license and vehicle 
• Personal car and proof of valid registration
• Full Comprehensive Car insurance
• Proof of rights to work in Australia: Australia Birth Certificate, Australian Passport 
• Personal Mobile phone 
 
Casual Pay Rates (Probation 6 months)

• Weekdays $33.94hr

• Saturday $47.51hr

• Sunday $61.09hr

• Public Holiday $74.66hr

After Probation

• Weekday: $35.15/hr

• Saturday: $49.21/hr

• Sunday: $63.27/hr

• Public Holiday: $77.33/hr
