Landscape Labourer

About the role
We're growing our crew of casual landscape labourers to support commercial landscape construction projects across the greater Adelaide region. As a labour hire business, you'll be placed with our clients on a variety of project sites - giving you exposure to different environments, teams, and challenges.

For the right people, ongoing work opportunities are available as our client base grows.

What you'll be doing

• Carry out planting, turf laying, mulching, and edging works

• Preparing and excavating soil, digging holes, and moving materials to support landscaping installations

• Assist with irrigation and drainage system installation

• Assisting with the construction and installation of landscape features such as pathways, edging, and garden structures

• Perform paving, concreting, and blockwork to specification

• Conduct site set-out, preparation, and general housekeeping

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, clearing debris and waste from work areas

• Support other trades and site personnel as directed

• Operate hand tools and small machinery safely

• Adhere to all site-specific requirements, WHS procedures and report hazards promptly

• Represent Vanguard Labour professionally on all client sites

What we're looking for

• Valid White Card (construction induction card) - essential

• Current South Australian driver's licence - essential

• Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)

• Smartphone to access our rostering and timesheet app

• Strong commitment to safety, site conduct, and punctuality

• Previous experience is advantageous but not essential

• Ability to take direction from supervisors, work autonomously and as a part of a team

• Physical fitness and capability to perform repetitive manual labour in various weather conditions

• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing between 15-20 kg on a regular basis

• A willingness to learn and develop skills in landscaping and grounds maintenance

• Enthusiasm for outdoor work and grounds maintenance

• Australian permanent resident status with unrestricted work rights
