Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.  

ANI has an opportunity for an experienced Construction Security Officer to join its Operations team in Osborne. In this role you will provide operational and administrative security support to ensure construction works are conducted in accordance with security requirements and contribute to an integrated, risk‑based security posture across ANI.  

Your key responsibilities will include:  

·       Support the implementation and administration of construction security arrangements in accordance with ANI policies, PSPF, DISP, and relevant ASIO/SCEC guidance

·       Assist with the review of Construction Security Plans (CSPs), site layouts, and access zoning arrangements for construction activities across ANI sites

·       Support construction security inspections, adhoc inspections, and certification activities

·       Monitor and report construction‑related security issues, vulnerabilities, or non‑compliance observed on site, including access control and perimeter controls

·       Maintain construction security records, registers, and documentation to support audit, assurance, and compliance activities

·       Assist with other security functions and tasks across the ANI security team, as reasonably directed, to support operational effectiveness and prevent functional stovepipes 

About You:

You will have good written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, tasks and requirements.

Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment and to build rapport with people from all levels of both the business and from the Defence environment and strong customer service. 

You will also have:

·       High degree of competence with O365, particularly Word and Excel

·       Experience in the Defence Industry within a similar role (desirable) 

Eligibility: 

Applicants must be able to either hold or be able to gain and maintain a Defence security clearance and will be required to consent to background checks.
