Silentium Defence is a world leader in passive radar delivering advanced capability into complex defence environments. We are seeking a Work Health and Safety Advisor to take ownership of the safety function and drive comprehensive, safety-focused initiatives into the business operations and culture.

About the role:

The Work Health and Safety Advisor will build and strengthen our safety systems, practices, and culture to ensure our workplaces remain safe and continuously improving. Aligning with business objectives, you will enhance our Safety Management System, deliver training, support investigations, and drive WHS best practice. Key repsonsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support and educate the workforce to build a strong safety culture.
  • Implement practical WHS policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives.
  • Deliver, coordinate and create WHS training and safety communications.
  • Maintain and improve the Safety Management System and safety software.
  • Assist with incident investigations, hazard resolution, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare WHS reporting, data analysis, and Executive/Board insights.
  • Support audit and compliance activities.

About you:

You are proactive, detail-orientated, and highly organised. You may have a track record of uplifitng safety programs and driving continuous improvement, or you may be looking for the perfect opportunity to do so. You have:

  • Strong influencing and communication skills.
  • Experience with WHS systems, audits, and reporting.
  • Solid understanding of WHS legislation and contemporary safety practices.
  • Ability to work proactively, prioritise effectively, and manage multiple demands.
