Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining site food safety and GMP compliance while driving quality initiatives across the business. You will coordinate Quality Control activities, support operational teams and champion a strong food safety culture throughout the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, maintain and continuously improve food safety and quality systems.

  • Support operations to ensure consistent, high-quality products are produced and delivered to customers.

  • Lead and coordinate the activities of the Quality Control Officer.

  • Investigate customer complaints and product rejections, implementing effective corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Manage key quality programs including:

    • Approved Supplier Program

    • Hygiene and Sanitation

    • Calibration

    • Preventative Maintenance

    • Pest Control

  • Conduct GMP inspections and support internal audit programs to ensure ongoing audit readiness.

  • Complete validation and verification activities as required.

  • Coordinate annual label reviews and participate in annual mock recall exercises.

  • Support and participate in external audits.

  • Drive food safety culture initiatives through engagement and education across the wider team.

  • Support New Product Development (NPD) trials and first production runs.

  • Provide quality support across the Two Wells operation and contribute to business projects and initiatives.

  • Provide back-up support for Quality Control activities and document control functions as required.

About You

You are hands-on, detail-oriented and enjoy working collaboratively to solve problems and improve processes. You have a passion for quality and food safety and can confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels.

To be successful, you will have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline (preferred).

  • Minimum three years' experience in a similar quality role within the fresh produce or food manufacturing industry.

  • Experience implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems.

  • Exposure to industry standards such as Freshcare Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) and HARPS.

  • Formal HACCP training and Internal Auditor qualifications.

  • Strong investigation and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and SharePoint.

  • A customer-focused approach and commitment to workplace health and safety.
