Position Name: Disability Support Worker (Aged or Disabled Carer)

We pride ourselves on delivering tailored, individualised services from teams of dedicated Support Workers to enhance people's lives through quality of care.
Due to an increased demand for our services, we are recruiting Support Workers across multiple services
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for people living with disability
- Work with individuals and groups, within-participant homes, and within the community.
- Assist participants build their capacity and independence, skill-build and provide
- access to their community through social inclusion; and to
- Assist participants to live independently through help and/or supervision with their daily tasks
- Have excellent availability across the week (minimum 5 clear days)
- Travel across metropolitan Adelaide or further as required by Just Living
And you will also:
- Show a thorough understanding and dedicated commitment to the NDIS Code of Conduct
- Ensure high quality supports are being delivered
- Be an excellent communicator, speak clearly and be easily understood
- Understand that the person we support is an individual, with their own identity, needs and aspirations
- Be flexible, versatile, adaptable, resilient
- Have knowledge of contemporary practices in the disability sector
- Have a flexible and positive attitude/approach to their work
- Be proficient with the use of Technology such as smart phones and tablets
Essential requirements of the role:
Minimum 5 days' availability for work
- Full unrestricted Driver’s License
- A reliable, roadworthy vehicle and full comprehensive car insurance
- NDIS Workers Clearance (must have or be willing to get)
- National Police Check - completed in the last 3 months (must have or be willing to get)
- Working With Children Check (must have or be willing to get)
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification (must have or be willing to get)
- Manual Handling certificate from an accredited training provider (must have or be willing to get)
- Assist with Medication certificate from an accredited training provider (must have or be willing to get)
- All NDIS Worker Orientation Modules
- Covid 19 Infection control modules
