Founded in 2021, Hive Support Services is an Adelaide Hills based support service that is dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centred support to participants of all ages and disabilities. About the role
Hive Support Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team in Adelaide. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals within our community. As a Community Support Worker, you will support and empower vulnerable members of our community, across all ages and disabilities.

What you'll be doing
Providing person-centred support to clients with aged care and disability support needs, assisting with daily living activities and personal care as required
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, families and carers to understand their individual needs and preferences
Supporting clients with transport to participate in community activities, outings and social engagement opportunities
Assisting with meal preparation, household tasks and other domestic support to maintain safe and comfortable living environments
Monitoring and reporting on client wellbeing, including identifying changes in health or support needs
Maintaining detailed and accurate records of support provided and client progress
Collaborating with the wider support team, including care coordinators and healthcare professionals, to deliver coordinated and holistic support
Promoting client independence, dignity and choice in all interactions and support delivery
Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, safeguarding standards and legislative requirements
What we're looking for
Preferred qualities
Located in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide
Experience with complex behaviours and following behaviour support plans
Essential qualities
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable members of the community
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse clients
Patience, empathy and a non-judgmental approach to supporting individuals with complex needs
Reliability and commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality support
The ability to work independently and make sound decisions whilst also collaborating effectively within a team environment
Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
A valid Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police Check or eligibility to obtain
A current driver's licence and access to reliable transport, as the role may require travel to support clients in their homes or community settings
Experience in aged care, disability support or community services (preferred but not essential)
