Disability Support Worker

A Disability Support Worker is responsible for providing personalized care and assistance to individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities, helping them achieve independence intheir daily activities. This role involves working in both in-home and community settings, ensuring clients' well-being and facilitating their participation in social and community-activities.

Task & responsibilities

• Provide direct support and assistance to clients with disabilities, both in-home andcommunity settings
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, andmedication management
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcareprofessionals
• Encourage clients to participate in social, recreational, and community activities
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation
• Monitor and report on the physical and emotional well-being of clients
• Foster a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all clients

Qualification & experience

• Previous experience (01 to 02 years) as a Disability Support Worker or in a similar role.
• Understanding of disability care, person-centered practices, and support plans
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Empathy, patience, and a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent)
