About Us

The CAT Rental Store is a leading provider of rental equipment and services for civil construction, mining, industrial and local government customers. We are committed to delivering high-quality equipment and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to join our team.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in effective supervision, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to ensuring a safe work environment. You will approach everything you do with energy, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence. Additionally, you will be a team player, passionate about performance and a hands-on consistent leader.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Effective Supervision - Lead and motivate a team of rental store technicians to achieve operational excellence
  • Ensure all team members are properly trained and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • High-Level Communication - Maintain open lines of communication with team members, management, and customers
  • Ensure clear and concise information flow and resolve any issues promptly
  • Safety Assurance - Develop, implement, and monitor safety plans for all work carried out
  • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices

Skills and experience required include:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role, preferably in a rental, construction, or industrial environment would be an advantage
  • Relevant trade qualification essential. (Heavy Vehicle, Light Vehicle, Auto Electrical trades encouraged to apply)
  • Current and valid driver's and High-risk Forklift licence essential
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly
  • Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software
