Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of financial reporting, cash flow management, budgeting, compliance, and financial controls while supporting and mentoring junior team members.

This is a broad role that combines technical accounting expertise with commercial analysis and business partnering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounts receivable, debtor management, and credit control processes
  • Review accounts payable, expense allocation, and financial controls
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and month-end reporting
  • Support payroll accounting, payroll tax, and statutory compliance obligations
  • Partner with operational leaders to provide commercial insights and recommendations
  • Assist with audit requirements, process improvements, and system enhancements
  • Mentor and support junior finance team members

About You

  • CA/CPA qualified (or near completion) with 5+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management skills
  • Commercially minded with the ability to analyse data and provide actionable insights
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience within recruitment, labour hire, staffing, or service-based industries will be highly regarded
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems

Why Join Us?

  • Influence business performance in a growing national organisation
  • Work closely with experienced finance leaders and operational stakeholders
  • Hybrid working arrangements
  • Birthday leave
  • Brand new office located in the CBD
  • Supportive and collaborative team culture
  • Genuine opportunity to improve processes and make an impact
