Financial Adviser | Immediate Equity Opportunity | Gawler East

Most advice roles offer a salary.

Some offer bonuses.

Very few offer the opportunity to participate in business ownership from the beginning.

Alex Brown Strategic Financial Planners is seeking an experienced Financial Adviser who wants more than just another advice role. We are looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career, deliver high-quality advice, influence the future direction of a growing business, and participate in an ownership opportunity now, without the need for a traditional buy-in.

This is an opportunity for an adviser who wants their contribution to matter, professionally, commercially and personally.

If you are passionate about building trusted client relationships, delivering meaningful advice, and helping shape a business with strong values and long-term growth potential, this could be the opportunity you have been looking for.

About Alex Brown Strategic Financial Planners

Alex Brown Strategic Financial Planners is a respected family-owned financial planning practice based in Gawler East.

We help everyday Australians, families, couples and business owners bring their financial lives together into a clear, practical and achievable plan.

Our advice covers retirement planning, superannuation, SMSFs, personal insurance, Centrelink strategies, cash flow, debt management, tax planning, wealth protection, estate planning and business owner advice.

Our growth has been built on trust, long-term relationships and a commitment to advice that genuinely improves people’s lives.

Why This Role Is Different

For the right person, this role offers more than employment. It offers the opportunity to become part of the business’s growth story from the start.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Participate in equity from commencement, without requiring a traditional buy-in
• Share in the value you help create through contribution, performance and long-term commitment
• Join an established, trusted and growing advice practice
• Work with an existing client base and new client opportunities
• Deliver holistic advice across a broad range of client needs
• Receive support from experienced administration and paraplanning resources
• Focus on advice and client relationships rather than excessive administration
• Use structured advice processes and technology to improve the client experience
• Have a genuine voice in the future direction of the business
• Contribute to business growth, client strategy and professional standards
• Build client relationships that create long-term value
• Develop as a leader within the practice

We believe exceptional advisers should have the opportunity to participate in ownership, not simply work toward it someday.

This is an opportunity for an adviser who wants to help build a business and share in its success now.

Our Values

We are looking for someone who aligns with our approach:

Valuing Clients – you put the client’s interests first and care about long-term outcomes.

Pursuing Excellence – you take pride in the quality of your advice, your documentation and your follow-through.

Achieving Together – you work well with clients, colleagues, professional partners and support staff.

Earning Trust – You listen carefully, communicate clearly and do what you say you will do.

Making a Difference – you want your advice to create better outcomes, greater confidence and more peace of mind.

Acting with Courage – you are willing to have honest conversations that help clients make better financial decisions.

These values are important to us. They guide how we advise clients, build relationships and choose the people who join our team.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Meet with new and existing clients to understand their goals, needs and concerns
• Develop and present strategic financial advice
• Deliver advice across retirement planning, superannuation, personal insurance, Centrelink, wealth creation, SMSFs, cash flow and debt strategies
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships
• Work with internal support, paraplanning and administration resources to deliver advice efficiently
• Ensure advice is compliant, well-documented and in the client’s best interests
• Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes and the client experience
• Contribute ideas to improve systems, processes and business growth
• Represent the business professionally with clients and referral partners
• Help shape the future growth and direction of the practice

About You

You will be a strong fit if you:

• Have at least 2 years’ experience in a Financial Adviser role
• Have passed the Financial Adviser Exam or meet current regulatory requirements
• Are currently registered on the Financial Advisers Register, or are eligible to be registered before providing advice
• Have strong technical knowledge across key advice areas
• Communicate clearly and confidently with clients
• Can explain complex financial concepts in simple, practical terms
• Care about building trust, not just completing transactions
• Have a strong compliance mindset and attention to detail
• Want a long-term career pathway, not just a short-term role
• Are motivated by the opportunity to help build a business and share in its success
• Want your contribution recognised through more than salary alone

Highly Regarded

Experience or strong interest in any of the following will be viewed favourably:

• Retirement and pre-retirement advice
• SMSF advice
• Centrelink strategies
• Personal insurance advice
• Business owner advice
• Cash flow and debt management
• Estate planning considerations
• Client education and technology-enabled advice delivery

What We Offer

• Competitive remuneration package based on experience and capability
• Immediate equity participation opportunity
• No traditional buy-in requirement
• Performance-based growth opportunity
• Established client base and strong growth prospects
• Supportive, family-owned business environment
• Quality advice standards and client-first culture
• Experienced administration and paraplanning support
• Opportunity to contribute to the future direction of the practice
• Leadership pathway as the business continues to grow
• A meaningful role where your work can make a real difference in clients’ lives

This Role Will Suit Someone Who Wants to Build

We want someone who sees the bigger picture.

You may already be an adviser doing good work, but want more ownership, more influence and a clearer long-term future. You may be looking for a practice where your values matter, your contribution is recognised, and your career can grow into something more substantial.

This role is designed for someone who wants to be part of the business, not just employed by it.

If you want to help clients, make better financial decisions, work with a team that values trust and excellence, and participate in ownership from the beginning without a traditional buy-in, we would like to hear from you.
