LMA has entered into an arrangement with BAE, Saab and CoA (MIWS) for the execution of all Combat System Integration work related to the Aegis Surface Combatant fleet.

The agreement, called the Combat Systems Integration – Integrated Project Team (CSI-IPT) Collaboration Agreement or CCA forms a collaborative enterprise organisation to execute scopes of work across Hobart Class Destroyer (SEA4000 Phase 6 and other related Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) upgrades) and the Hunter Class Frigates (HCFs - SEA5000 Phase 1). The CSI-IPT evolves the current independently executing programs such as SEA4000 Phase 6 and SEA5000 Phase 1 under an umbrella enterprise organisation formed as a program of programs.

The Program Finance Lead is a key member of the MDCS Finance and Business Operations team, responsible for leading and delivering end-to-end program finance activities including forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, invoicing, and customer deliverables. The role provides oversight and analytical review of program financial performance, ensuring contract status, actual costs, supplier invoices, and forecasts are accurately reflected in program outlooks. It plays a critical role in delivering clear financial insights, supporting decision-making, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, policies, and financial controls while coordinating finance activities across the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

Lead and manage contract setup, financial structures, and baseline maintenance in line with contractual requirements.
Coordinate end-to-end program finance activities including budgeting, forecasting, modelling, and financial reporting (OSEC, backlog, cash flow, ROS).
Review and maintain financial outlooks including EAC, profit, and management reserve, ensuring alignment with program performance and assumptions.
Develop and maintain labour forecasts, financial models, and long-range planning inputs.
Support pricing, estimating, and bid activities, including review of BOEs and cost assumptions.
Manage invoicing, accruals, supplier costs, and contract changes, ensuring accurate financial treatment and forecast impact.
Deliver financial analysis, variance reporting, and insights to support decision-making and performance management.
Lead audit support, compliance activities, and coordination of finance inputs across the team to ensure accuracy, control, and timely delivery.

About you:

Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline, with CA/CPA (or equivalent) completed or in progress.
Strong experience in program finance within a project or contract-based environment.
Solid understanding of key financial concepts including EAC, ROS, backlog, cash flow, and performance drivers.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, modelling, and incorporating risks and opportunities into financial outlooks.
Proven capability in labour forecasting, cost analysis, and supporting pricing/estimating activities (including BOEs).
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver clear insights.
Experience working with large datasets, ensuring accuracy, reconciliation, and data integrity.
Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and support team delivery.
Experience supporting audits, compliance activities, and engaging effectively with stakeholders.
