Finance Officer

As a key member of the Duxton Pubs Finance team, your role will provide financial support to the Duxton Pubs portfolio, championing accounts payable, accounts receivable and most importantly payroll. This fast-paced role allows you to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders whilst ensuring a smooth process for employees, venues, and suppliers. 

Your Daily Tasks Include:

• Processing weekly payroll for your allocated venues, ensuring employees are paid in accordance with the HIGA Award;
• Liaising with Venue Managers on payroll queries;
• Coordinating purchasing workflows for a group of hotels, including timely and accurate processing of invoices, statement reconciliations and supplier payments;
• Confirming account details with new suppliers;
• Reconciling bank accounts including credit cards;
• Assisting with end of month reporting and general ledger reconciliations; and
• Liaising with suppliers, operations staff and internal stakeholders.

About you:

To ensure your success you will have:  

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounts, payroll, or bookkeeping role;
• Previous payroll experience is essential (HIGA Award preferred);
• Previous experience using accounting software;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs;
• A positive attitude and the resilience to work in a changing environment;
• Willingness to work collaboratively with the wider Finance team;
• Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
• Confidence to work independently when necessary and take pride and enjoy what you do!
