LifeTec Australia is a provider of assistive technology, home modifications and home maintenance services for Aged Care and NDIS participants in Queensland. We take pride in providing quality services to all participants from our Brisbane and Townsville locations.

The Maintenance Officer role aims to effectively deliver maintenance and minor home modifications services for our clients in the Townsville region, based out of our office at Domain Central. This role is largely mobile, traveling from home to home in our handyman van, providing maintenance to our aged care clients in the Townsville region and beyond.


Role Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement maintenance and repairs at clients home

    • door/lock repairs

    • smoke alarm replacement (and compliant with current requirements)

    • light builb replacement

    • minor carpentry repairs

    • other maintenance repairs that maintain safety and accessibility for our clients

  • Maintain safe work practices that minimise risk to our clients and yourself

  • Maintain working relationships with maintenance contractors and suppliers

  • Complete timely and accurate reporting

  • Work with your colleagues to maintain high-quality service

  • If you have a trade background, you will also assist with minor home modifications


About you

  • A background in providing handyman and maintenance services - 2 years plus is essential

  • A current drivers licence is required - this is a mobile role

  • National police check, blue card, and NDIS card (LifeTec can assist the successful applicant)

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your worksmanship

  • Exceptional customer service and the ability to build rapport with our clients

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

  • It will be advantageous to have a trade background in the building industry - carpentry, plumbing, etc
