As an Automatic Transmission Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of automatic transmissions and transaxles using the latest equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our customers' vehicles are running at peak performance and reliability. Tasks & responsibilities
- Road test vehicles and conduct thorough diagnosis on transmission-related issues, using advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques
- Perform repairs and overhauls on automatic transmissions, including disassembly, component replacement, and reassembly
- Experience diagnosing and repairing CVT, DSG, DCT and modern transmissions
- Collaborate with the workshop team to carry out effective repairs and provide technical guidance
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized work environment
- Ambitious, hardworking presence in a team environment
Qualifications & experience
- Certificate III including at least 2 years of on the job training or at least 3 years of on the job training
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an Automatic Transmission Specialist or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of automatic transmission systems
