Administrative Assistant

Matt's Mowing & Contracting SA is a growing South Australian civil contracting business specialising in large-scale roadside mowing, slashing, spraying and vegetation management projects across metropolitan and regional South Australia.

We are seeking a motivated and organised Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position offers flexible working arrangements, including hybrid work opportunities, and the chance to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a growing business.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Providing administrative support to managers and operational staff

  • Managing calendars, schedules and meeting coordination

  • Answering and responding to phone calls, emails and correspondence

  • Preparing and formatting documents, reports and spreadsheets

  • Maintaining electronic filing systems and business records

  • Assisting with data entry, invoicing and general bookkeeping tasks

  • Supporting business improvement initiatives and special projects

About You

You are organised, proactive and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You enjoy solving problems, supporting others and taking ownership of your work while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Previous experience in administration, office support, bookkeeping or customer service is desirable but not essential.

Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Experience in an administrative or office support role

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Experience with invoicing, bookkeeping or accounting systems

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Essential Requirements
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence

  • Reliable internet connection and suitable home office environment for hybrid work

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
